Since we are waiting for Home Depot to put in new carpeting upstairs, we were forced to pull out the old carpet ourselves (or Ken did) since it is full of cat. Actually quite easy. We will have to get a dumpster for our waste. You can see the living room with the blue pad. What is going on with the wall in the living room, you may ask. We are wondering that ourselves. We removed the "beautiful" wood panels surrounding the fireplace to discover there is no drywall. Project #1 - dry wall the living room wall. The other photo is of the downstairs family room. In the far space will go our TV and a sectional couch, and in the near space we will put a pool table. Note: we are furnishing most of the house on Craig's list. We are to pick up some lovely microfiber couches for the living room today! We plan to turn the unfinished wall into a half-wall that goes waist-high and place a tile of sorts on it - a good place to set drinks while playing pool! So Ken is going to HD to purchase his first power tool today! We will inform the ER at the Navy Hospital to stand by!
