We love our apt, if you watch the video below (and turn your laptop screen) you will see it is about 100ft from the shore. There is great snorkeling here, and it is freakin' hot all the time! We hear winter is nice 50-70! Russ enjoys his new playmate, but he is jealous. Has to bud in on all hugs and kisses. He is a mama's boy. Ken is officially at work now, mostly 8-5pm. He has been biking to work which takes about 30 min. It would take 20 min to drive because there is so much traffic on this little island. I am starting the process of getting a civilian contractor job as a pharmacist, but I've heard don't expect one earlier than 6 mos. I will volunteer with the Red Cross one day a week as a pharmacist and they will help me with the mounds of paperwork to get credentialed. I am hoping to have my right ACL repaired within the next month so that will put me out for a few months anyway. So we're here awaitin' with some great sushi for visitors! I would suggest travel between Jan and May - May if you want to get in the ocean, Jan if you couldn't possibly stand the heat. Fall is typhoon time. Most likely you will travel to Tokyo (about 9 hrs from Seattle) and then to Naha (capital of Oki) which is a 2 hr flight from Tokyo. Not as long as we thought!
