Our friend Ali (who Ken and I both know from working at the U of MN hospital) was out for a business/fun trip and the rain conveniently held off for some hiking. As you can see, there is still snow at higher elevations (prime hiking starts in July).

So regarding the last post, Ken performs home knee surgery (this is a joke by the way)...I tore my right ACL skiing. I am fine with daily activities, but need to get surgery before I am able to ski again or play tennis, etc. We made the decision to put off surgery at least for the summer so I am not out of the game for 8 weeks during prime weather. Still able to hike, so we plan to get to Rainier this season!
